SERVICES
Exceptional Project Management support is essential for the successful completion of any project. SRM project managers employ the following five-step process to ensure that our clients’ objectives are met on time and within the determined cost structure:
Research, Development, Test and Evaluation
SRM Engineers are involved throughout each step of the Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) lifecycle; SRM Engineers research testing concepts, develop test procedures, prepare test sites, execute experiments and analyze test results for customers.
Technical Documentation
In addition to performing RDT&E functions, SRM Engineers are also adept at developing technical documentation. Forms of technical documentation routinely prepared by SRM Engineers include test plans, test reports, test proposals, mechanical manuals, white papers and patents.
Modeling and Simulation
SRM Engineers perform a variety of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) services for our customers. Utilizing sophisticated Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, SRM Engineers design two-dimensional drawings and three-dimensional mechanical models for our customers.
SRM’s team of experienced Welders, Machinists, Engineering Technicians and Painters provide a wide range of manufacturing, design and fabrication services. Utilizing various types of tooling, equipment, manual machines and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines, SRM personnel:
In addition to manufacturing parts for customers, SRM personnel also perform Non-Destructive Testing on the manufactured parts. Common NDT processes employed by SRM personnel include magnetic particle testing, ultrasonic testing, liquid penetrant testing and visual inspection.
SRM’s comprehensive Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) services span across all twelve (12) Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements–facilitating the development of efficient, sustainable and reliable systems for our clients. ILS functions performed by SRM’s ILS Managers include:
SRM personnel are fully acquainted with a wide range of financial management tools, such as the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) system and the Computer Optimized Batch Reconciliation Application (COBRA). SRM Financial Managers use these, and several other financial management systems, to perform a wide range of financial management tasks, such as:
SRM’s Designers and Illustrators have a well-earned reputation for excellence in illustration, visual design and electronic imaging. Both professionally and empirically trained, SRM personnel create a wide variety of visual and multimedia products for our Federal, State and Commercial clients.
SRM’s Technical Writing and Editing staff has the knowledge and experience necessary to prepare a wide range of technical documentation, including technical reports, technical memoranda, technical manuals, administrative publications, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, journal articles, conference papers, and directives. When developing technical documentation for their customers, SRM Technical Writers employ a three-phase review process to ensure the delivery of a complete, accurate, and polished final product:
Copy review for proper use of grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and language
Mechanical review to ensure required format compliance, including consistent style in headings and figures, prescribed reference citation style, appropriate use of symbols and acronyms, and sequential callout of figures, tables, and equations
Content review for coherence and logical organization; content editing and rewriting are accomplished in close collaboration with the author
Cataloging and Circulation
Routine circulation functions fulfilled by SRM Librarians include checking-in/out of library materials, performing Interlibrary Loan (ILL) transactions and sending document availability notifications to researchers. Librarians facilitate access to public materials such as books and journals as well as controlled reports.
Research and Reference
SRM employs state-of-the-art research methods to ensure timely and accurate responses to our customer’s research requests. In addition to guiding researchers in the use of online databases, such as IEEE's Xplore Digital Library and Information Handling Service's (IHS) Standards Expert, SRM Librarians interview Scientists, Engineers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather information for our customers.
